Related to my link below: how to avoid the cancer causing or unhealthy foods. SWITCH TO HEALTHY FOODS ...Please! Specially people with kids!! We brought them to this world , and we owe them a healthy future. Simple, once you make the switch. And only a little more expensive. But, will balance out the expense since you will eat outside food less. Avoid processed foods. Eat organic fruits , veggies And meat. Animals raised in stressful environments have unhealthy hormones which get passed to us. ( This is why switching to Halal is good...not just avoid the unhealthy hormones but avoid supporting an industry that is based on cruel and inhumane raising procedures) Eat cage free veg fed eggs. Wild caught fish and prawns. Whole grains if at all. ( not whole wheat....whole grains, and even better spelt etc) Avoid sugary cereals. Eat cereals sparsely ( for the vitamins) Seeds and nuts. Cook more often. Cook simple. Eat organic salads . Use microwave as little as possible. Select butter over margarine. Raw cane sugar. Stevia or monkfruit sweeteners instead of sucralose/ chemically produced artificial sweeteners. Avoid diet drinks like the plague, and if you must drink a soda , look for the ones with natural cane sugar, these will be from anywhere but USA. Go to a mexican store or a middle eastern store. Use Safflower or sunflower, or olive or grapeseed oil to cook. Almond, peanut and sesame oils are also ok but more strong flavored. Try to grow own herbs or look for organic. Use foreign spices where the maximizing of profits is not as big as here. So there are less additives to crops. Whole foods now carries pure ghee. Used to be believed that it was bad, but now it has been found that artificial substitutes for natural fats are bad, whereas natural fats can actually help metabolism, as long as they are eaten in low or moderate amounts.
