I wish him a memorable stay in Sikkim and hope he would enjoy meeting and interacting with the people of Sikkim. Besides, he would try to solve various issues concerning Sikkim. It is hoped that Shri Patil would take suitable step to implement in letter and spirit what has been guaranteed by the 371F of the Constitution of India to the Sikkimese people and commitment of the Central Govt. to safeguard the three ethnic communities of Sikkim viz Sikkimese of Bhutia origin, Sikkimese of Lepcha origin and Sikkimese of Nepali origin and also hope that he would not allow to dilute the provisions in any manner.
