Released From Imprisonment For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.(Romans 8:22-23) We that are saved, born again, indwelt of the Spirit of God,see ourselves imprisoned to a body that is subject to the curse and we desire to be released from the imprisonment and our bodies redeemed. The body being delivered from this world, this bondage of corruption. After being saved we will never be satisfied with the lives we live in these bodies that are subject to the curse. We long for our Savior and the redemption of our bodies. We shouldnt be looking and putting our hope in the deliverance the world system offers through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life which is so temporary. We would be looking to this world that is subject to the curse for deliverance and this passage says that even the creation that we would be looking to for deliverance is groaning and laboring for deliverance. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.(Romans 8:18-21) The imprisonment in these bodies now and the suffering we endure is nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in us.The thirst we have now that this world cant satisfy should be a reminder of our coming glory. What if my greatest disappointments Or the aching of this life Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world cant satisfy (from Blessingsby Laura Story) For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.(Philippians 3:20-21) HE IS ABLE For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.(1Thessalonians 4:16-18) Perhaps Today
