Reliable sources from the A’in al-A’rab (Kobani) city of Aleppo province reported to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the ISIS kidnapped more than 150 Kurdish students on the Aleppo-Minbej road on Thursday May 29th. The sources stated that the ISIS kidnapped the students when they were on their way back to Kobani city near Minbej city after completing their Academic examinations in Aleppo city. The students were transferred at first to ISIS headquarters and houses in Minbej city and then to a school to “teach them Islamic Sharia” for 10 days. The sources added that the Syrian authorities refused to assign examination centres in the A’in al-A’rab (Kobani) city which is under YPG control, which forced approximately 1500 students from the city to travel and risk their lives by going to regime-held areas in Aleppo city. The ISIS kidnapped on that same day at least 193 Syrian Kurds from the Qabbasin town of Reef al-Bab city in Aleppo and carried out a series of raids and inspections in the town.
