Remember Bunny our little kitten with broken toes who was found on Easter Sunday? Since April 20th, she has been confined in a cage – first with a cast on her leg and then recovering from intestinal parasites. Here’s her story’s happy ending after meeting Casie! In July 2013, Casie adopted our Freddie Krueger (she renamed him Chester) – it was love at first sight. When he crossed the rainbow bridge in March, it broke Casie’s heart. She returned to CF in mid-May to see if she could fall in love again. After checking all the rooms and meeting the cats, she was kind of down because none spoke to her like Freddie had. So a volunteer decided to introduce her to Bunny – who was in an isolation room. Bunny melted Casie’s heart. Even though Bunny has spent the last several weeks in a cage, she is a purring machine and wants love and affection any time she can get it. The perfect personality to help heal Casie’s broken heart. Thank you Casie for giving Chester a loving home. We are sorry for your loss, but happy you found Bunny. We wish you and Bunny years of love and companionship. You two deserve it.
