Remember me telling you that Oct/Nov each year is busy for me? Ready for this? Here I go. Water pump in car goes out $400+ to fix. Halloween costumes not picked or put together which is fun 3 days before the actual holiday. Birthday party for my twins the day after Halloween. 8 kids and 2 kids sleeping over. Ugh! Then November 1st is the day my dad passed away. Hard but I try to remember the good times. Lets not forget my other daughters 14th birthday party to plan and throw. Then Thanksgiving which I try to DIY everything and am in a panic till the day of Thanksgiving. Thats whats on my shoulder until an hour ago when I get a text that one of our rentals is having water damage in the bathroom. Shower must come out and plumbing needs to be done. Notice I didnt even talk about Christmas yet? BUT we can do this. No use in freaking out. This isnt a pity party and Im not feeling sorry for myself or asking for hand outs. This is what life hands us and its up to us how it turns out. We can toss some credit cards at our problems but that will come back to bite us. Or we can survive and thrive on pennies till we get through this. My pantry is full and we have a woodshed full of wood to keep us warm. We got this.
