“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Isaiah 43:18 To often we live in the past. We let our past mistakes define who we are today. We do that to others also. All of us have things in our past that we are not proud of. The past is called the past for a reason because we are supposed to put it behind us. We are supposed to live in the present and learn from our past, not make the past what we live in. If you have asked God for forgiveness he has forgiven you for all of your sins. He makes you new! I don’t know about you but I want to leave the old me behind and be a better follower of Christ! Sure the past has molded us to who we are today; because God uses the troubles of our lives to build us up not to tear us down. You might be thinking of something that happened in your past right now. I want you to think about what God taught you from that time. I believe God can use anything to teach us a lesson; we just have to be open to him so we will see. The old is passed away and new has come! Your past was building blocks for your present and future! Are you letting God build you up? Are you moving on from the past and seeing the bright present and future God has in store for you? Are you being made new? Thanks be to God! God’s son Mark!
