Remember that fire you could warm up to in winter when you were a kid? I was in Vernon, BC on 20th Street near Harwood School and we lived in an over 50 year old 2 story home with a field stone fireplace, situated on a huge treed acreage. Bliss in winter is the smell of burning logs: cherry, apple, birch and fir wood - and boy did we chop and stack a lot of logs, but it is so worth it. Good memories :)
