Remember when all the dinosaurs died? That was a mass extinction - TopicsExpress

Remember when all the dinosaurs died? That was a mass extinction due to an extreme climate change. There were 4 other mass extinctions before that each wiping out 95% of all species. Homo Sapiens are not protected by a magical bubble shield preventing us from the next mass extinction. A global climate increase of 6 degrees Celsius will cause such an extinction. The Artic Polar Ice Caps have melted 60% in 30 years. Compared to 4.6 billion that is no time at all. We must demand a change in lifestyle and our methods of industry or our extinction is imminent. Im talking about a timescale less than a century. However their is some optimism to all of this. Relative to the biodiversity of our host organism Earth our extinction will be a positive result giving rise to endless opportunities of surviving species and vegetation. Providing a flourishing environment and larger opportunities for the atoms that once made up our bodies.
