Remembering Zmicier Sidarovic. I cant believe this wondrous man, Belarusian music and culture revivalist, bagpiper (duda player), and writer has died in his late 40s. Sharing this video of us jamming together in Minsk at the last Zhydovishcha annual street happening when I came to visit in September, 2009. Later on we used to have lengthy discussions and creative brainstorming on Skype on possible theater and music collaborations. Zmicier was working on a theater piece that reflected multi-ethnic relationships in Belarus. He recorded a couple albums of his original childrens songs in Belarusian, started a few folk bands, putting his every effort and his entire heart to bringing the almost abandoned language and culture back to life. Zmicier was so full of life and talent. It is so unfair that his life has ended so abruptly and absurdly. Missing him bitterly. https://youtube/watch?v=i5ypUzVUoFM
