Remembering my grandfather , The late Marty Segal who 33 years ago today , July 3rd 1981 went on his journey to the next life , he was part of Americas Greatest Generation, I remember as a small boy the house on Ceaderbrook Street , the walks on wadsworth avenue on an early sunday morning as the sun would rise to get the bagels lox and whitefish and prepare for a house full of company , the rides in his 1962 Oldsmobile and later in his 1967 Chrysler Newport, I remember 50 years ago him taking me to see the war film , The Longest Day the movie about D Day , I recall how he would like to watch shows like Hawaii 5-0 . Kojak, Dragnet, and Combat , the way he was always proud of me and pushed me to do better as did others in my family I am sorry that my son Aaron Stanton did not get to know his Great Grand father Marty who was a great man a man of Honor Character and Integrity
