Remembering the legend Mahendra Kapoor on his 81st birthday. This song, which has the great singers signature written all over it, has always been the favorite of my father Kamal Kumar Sengupta and mine and I have practically grown up listening to it almost on a daily basis akin to an Ekta Kapoor soap. And at that time we just had an HMV tape recorder that looked like a VCR and no TV. So the only recreation I had in my childhood was by listening to the golden oldies.
