Remembers the 13th Anniversary of September 11 Flags at County Facilities flown at half-staff and First Responders Honored on Social Media Today Fulton County government joins other jurisdictions and citizens around the country in observance of the 13th Anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Flags at county facilities are being flown at half-staff and the County website reflects the simple words, “Fulton Remembers” in honor of Patriot Day and this National Day of Service and Remembrance. Also in honor and in memory of those precious lives that were lost and the first responders who rushed to the aid of so many on 9/11, the County is asking citizens to share their stories, memories and thoughts about what this day means to them on the County’s Facebook and Twitter pages, using the hashtag “FultonRemembers”. Citizens are encouraged to post photos of loved ones they wish to honor with their comments as a part of the Fulton Remembers tribute. “I will always remember where I was and what I was doing on September 11, 2001”, states Chairman John Eaves. “Fulton joins the rest of the country in remembering the lives that were lost and honoring those First Responders who risked their lives to save others on that tragic day and continue to protect and serve us today”.
