Renewing your British Passport? BE CAREFUL! I was conned by an internet company called PASSPORTUK, one of many posing as intermediary passport agencies. They basically take your vital details and charge you for sending a passport form which is free from the post office, copy and past your details and post it to you for £69. You think that you have already paid for the service and in fact you have paid for the free form filled by them. When you challenge them and ask for a refund they say that you have entered your card details voluntarily. I have only found out when I arrived at the post office and the officer informed me that they had never heard of such company. What amazes me is that the government are unable to close such rogue companies down and people are falling by the thousands confirmed by the legitimate passport office. Please let as many people know as possible and go straight to the post office for any type of British passport.
