Renovations Day 5 - All the books have been returned and in shelf order. The movers completed this around 2:30 this afternoon. It took the movers a total of 24.5 hours to unload the shelves, move the shelves, and then reset everything. The painters finished the staff offices/workroom today as well. They will be back to touch-up before their work is complete at the Slinger Police Department and Village Hall (both departments are receiving new carpet and fresh paint as well). The Library staff continued to work very hard today deep cleaning windows, the wood pillars, the storage room, kitchen, vacuuming the new carpet, moving tables and chairs, setting up computers, bringing the childrens pictures out of the DPW garage and wiping down shelves. The carpet installers pulled the old carpet out of the meeting room and childrens department in preparation for laying new carpet in these areas tomorrow.
