Rep. Mike Turner was interviewed about the rally, I messages him to tell him there were plenty of republican voters present today and not just the teachers unions. I also encouraged him to spend time in the public schools having conversations with educators and administrators before standing in judgement of those who attended the rally. This is the response I got: Rep. Turner is very aware of school funding issues. Do you understand what a member of the state House of Representatives is and does? It is his job to identify misuse of taxpayer dollars, which is precisely what he did by calling out those who took a paid professional day to lobby for more money. And he also knows what the real issues facing our schools are, and it doesnt revolve around money. Common Core and more money is what the teachers union is pimping, but not the solution. You might want to get all the relevant facts before suggesting a sitting legislator doesnt know what he is talking about. I gave a very lengthy reply, including it was clear he did not want my families support in the future. Wow!
