Repair works completed on the West Africa Gas Pipeline. NDC in its 2012 manifesto promised the “collaboration with the partners to remove all the obstacles that have hindered the smooth implementation of the West Africa Gas Pipeline Project”; page 52 • Repair works on the West Africa Gas Pipeline have been completed. • The company shut down its pipelines for repairs following loss of pressure around the Lome segments of the line in Togo which was damaged by a vessel. • Following the completed repair works, gas has been released from Nigeria into the pipes. • This means Ghana would soon receive adequate gas to power off plants and generate more power.
