Report corrupt conduct or police misconduct Note: The complaints process has changed. Please ensure you carefully read the following information. Anybody may report suspected corrupt conduct to the CCC. You do not need proof, you just need sufficient reason to believe that the corrupt conduct has occurred. Check that the CCC are the right agency to handle your complaint If your complaint does not concern corrupt conduct or police misconduct, the CCC is not the appropriate agency to contact. Visit the website It’s ok to complain for links to other independent complaint agencies to determine the most appropriate agency to complain to. Alternatively, you may report suspected corrupt conduct or police misconduct to the public sector agency concerned. The CEO is then obliged to report the matter to the CCC if they have a reasonable suspicion that corrupt conduct has occurred or may be involved. Options to report corruption To report corruption to the CCC you must consider whether you are a) lodging a complaint or b) providing information. a) Lodging a complaint If you have been personally aggrieved by the alleged corruption, you are considered a complainant and must provide your complaint by way of statutory declaration unless there are exceptional circumstances or you are making a public interest disclosure.
