Repost: The feminine energy of the Civil Rights Movement The Civil Rights Movement and All that was birthed from it was fueled by feminine energy! The methods and strategies were steeped in a feminine approach to appeal to the conscience of White (male) America. That does not mean that Dr. King, SNCC, etc. were not strong masculine men. It only means that the strategies of non-violent civil disobedience, marches and protest were executed with a feminine approach to problem solving. It was successful up to a point, but because it was not strategically, synchronized with the masculine energy of the Black Power movement, as Malcolm expressed, it lost steam and was eventually dismantled by cointelpro. The Black Power Movement which emerged at the heels of the Civil Rights Movement, was steeped in Masculine, uncompromising energy and was subsequently, successful in developing character and self esteem in Black Folk. Nevertheless, it too was dismantled by cointelpro. Both movements were reactionary and fueled by the frustration of many, which lead to (with the benefit of organization) successful isolated victories in the struggle for civil rights, self respect and dignity among Black folk. However, the inability to bridge feminine energy (the mother) with masculine energy (the father) together in a united front killed each movement in the past and continues to do so today. Malcolm said, when a fighter enters the ring, his left hand doesnt have to move like the right hand as long as they have a common head. We must restore the Black Family in a real way if we are to survive as a people.
