Reposted from La Niña regarding school data mining of our children: Evidently there is a major nationwide standardized test coming up and United Opt Out (an advocacy group that helps parents opt their children out of these data mining tests) was hacked over the weekend, along with other similar sites. If you still have your children in public schools I STRONGLY suggest you heed the warnings here and refuse to allow your children to take the tests! They do not measure your childs aptitude, they measure your childs compliance (among other things) and they mine private data about your children to companies who are making bank off of your kids...Id imagine I would get a more of a response if I mentioned Id just painted my nails..however if there are any parents who care about there kids left out there that want to do what is best for their children (Incidentally have you seen the movie Divergent??) and want to opt them out...NOW IS THE TIME!!! Government in collaboration with corporate entities are using these tests to place your children in categories...and in case you missed the memo those categories are NOT based on intelligence! When will people get it????
