Reposting : Could you pretty please post this for me? Rant for day: I am a single parent, I do not receive one cent from my exhusband to support my children. I work!Part time admittedly because I am also raising a disabled child who needs me. I do receive FTB just like every other parent and I receive the grand total of $11.20 fortnightly as Newstart (even though I have a job, go figure!) because Parenting Payment does not exist once your child turns 8. I pay $420 pw week in rent, educate and provide for my children, pay my bills and my taxes just like everyone else. And it is damn hard some weeks, really damn hard. If I hear one more person refer to single parents as bludgers I will lose my shit!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, theres a few bad apples but you find them in every cart. I will never again own my own home, travel or have luxuries but I WILL have well rounded, articulate, well educated, respectful children who know that if you want something in life you have to work for it. And that is good enough for me. *Rant over* Thanks
