Reposting from Lisa at Wellington Square: Hi friends, Thank you for your continued support with so many friends in the Burlington area. We have recently connected with 4 moms and their children who have or are in the midst of transitioning from local shelters to subsidized housing in Burlington. They are all doing so with little support, and few resources (including any of their household contents and personal belongings). This is particularly difficult as the weather gets colder and the holidays draw nearer. We are asking for your assistance to help us collect the following items below to assist these four families. This is only a small list of the many needs so if you have something that is not on the list we may still have a need. If you have furniture available it would be helpful if you can send me a picture in order that I can see if the size will work in the space available. We also want to provide these families with gently used items that we ourselves would be happy to have in our homes. The children we are assisting range in age from newborn (boy), 2 years old boy and girl, and as old as teen girls. They are also in need of clothing and if you have any to pass on please label the bag with the age and gender. Needed sizes are: boy - newborn, 18 months, 2t, 3t, 4 and 7 (plus sizes for growth) girl - sizes are 2t, youth medium and youth X-large We are also in need of winter boots, coats and winter wear for all of these children and Moms. Needed items: Christmas decorations curtains and rods coffee tables and end tables bedside tables blenders digital clocks for bedrooms kitchen glasses cutlery set twins beds/double bed and bedding queen sized sheets and bedding pillows and blankets twin sheets and bedding for boys and girls dining room and living room lamps dish washing rack bake and cookware serving utensils dressers (not too big) book cases pots/pans rice cooker toaster microwave cutting board crockpot area carpets iron wall decoration or pictures toys for baby boy and children (see ages above) childrens books change table and 2 gently used crib mattresses diapers washing machine Thank you for helping to transition these families to greater comfort and security.
