Request for group input: Was hoping to ask the group a question anonymously; I live in Canada, Currently joint custody and I have a general consent to travel to Montana in place (letter states I have complete control while in Montana). I am only required to give the EXN 10 days notice of when I am going to Montana. I waited as long as possible as he does the Disneyland Dad thing and tries to do the same things I do with the kids and it normally taints the memory they have with me (he is in full blown parental alienation mode since the last ruling). Sent him notice yesterday and he was creepily nice about it. Then today he sends an email casually asking me to sign the form for him to take the kids to Montana for a couple of days and give him their passports in August. Last summer he took the kids to Montana, told me he was staying with his parents in their time share condo and put that address on the consent form. Kids called me everyday crying asking me to pick them up and told me they stayed in a Motel 6 that they had to put towels on the bed before they could sleep in them. My travel consent was put in place as I live so close to the Canada/US boarder. Given his pathological lying, and the fact that he lied about the same trip last year (says he is visiting his parents time share again) and that he has not given the sufficient notice as he does not have a general consent to travel, and with the fact that there was no mention of this trip until I tell him I am going, can I just say NO? We are on interim orders for once a month school year but he did get more summer time. I dont want to do anything to mess up me hopefully getting full custody soon, but at the same time I do NOT trust the man for good, well documented reason!! Thank you for any input
