Requirement: Manager Instructional Designer Experience: 7-14 years JOB TITLE:Manager of Instructional & Curriculum Design Job Location:Chennai PURPOSE: The Manager of Instructional Design and Curriculum Design will be a strong leader, able to assess existing learning programs and provide recommendations on new and applicable instructional strategies. In addition, the Instructional and Curriculum Design Manager must be able to quickly develop rapport with the client base and view the importance and criticality of training programs which have a direct and significant impact on the overall company strategy and profitability. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: TheManager of Instructional & Curriculum Design will be responsible for leading a team of professionals that design, develop, and maintain innovative and interactive instructor-led and eLearning solutions for Flextronics Corporate Talent Organization. She/he will evaluate and determine business unit or business segment needs, including the project management or supervision of projects that require needs assessments of current and future training requirements. S/he will also ensure that content and courses developed support the delivery of consistent high impact learning opportunities aligned with the business priorities and organizational goals. The Manager of Instructional & Curriculum Design will: PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: o Analyze staffing requirements and provide managerial, professional and analytical support during the, development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs. o Monitor the learning, performance, and financial, impact of learning projects and curricula, provide timely management and top-line reporting. o Lead, supervise and coach Curriculum & Instructional Designers to perform their job and ensure achievement of learning objectives. o Foster an environment that encourages and rewards continuous individual learning and development. o Manage the coordination of technical or professional training offerings with vendors and other third party sources as required. o Manage utilization and assignment of internal shared resources and external contractors/services. o Supervise development of core content repository, and utilization of content for blended learning courses. o Ensure the application of standard training processes, templates, and deliverables. o Manage the data compilation, report generation and accompanying analyses to ensure completion and distribution of such materials/information in a timely manner. o Interact with Human Resource Business partners and Business Segment Subject Matter Experts to create and modify courses within specified budget and timeframes. o Collaborate and consult with business clients regarding the quality and consistency of training solutions. o Communicates frequently, and effectively, with the Talent/HRIS Organizations and business unit/segment leadership to ensure that business goals and objectives are being fulfilled and are aligned with organizational expectations. o Some travel required o Be comfortable with working across multiple time zones, and attending virtual meetings with Domestic / International SMEs Technical Requirements: o Master’s degree in instructional design technology or related field. o Significant experience in developing, leading and implementing technical-based design projects o Proficient in the development of programming routines to support traditional and elearning course development. o Skilled in the creation, implementation and validation of assessments/needs assessments to measure the effectiveness of training o Experience managing end-to-end, instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, and delivery) to create blended learning curriculum programs. o Experience managing direct reports or significant experience leading through influence to deliver results. o Experience leading change initiatives. o Experience identifying and managing complex group dynamics and reacting real time to changes in content and/or processes. o Strong project management skills applied in a business / corporate environment; experience in managing multiple learning design projects. o Experience in all phases of the development process, this includes working knowledge of authoring and web development tools, usability and functionality testing methods, course and learner evaluation methodology. o Understanding and knowledge of course design and control tools such as Photoshop and Course and/or Learning Management Systems is a plus. o Knowledge of latest web technologies, such as HTML 5 and mobile learning a plus.
