(Rereading this, I think my favorite so far is the last one.) If someone orders an Earl Grey tea with almond milk, what is the first thing that comes to mind? You want tea with milk, right? When I ask if thats good enough room for the milk she says oh, I wanted it steamed oh, okay sorry, but is that enough room? Oh no, I wanted the woke thing steamed. Ahh, ok... well well have to wait till its steeped then. No no, I want the whole thing steamed. (Confused I just stop talking, stare at her, and process this riddle shes throwing at me) *finally I recover in defeat* Im sorry, Im really not understanding what youre wanting. Apparently, she wanted ALL steamed almond milk, no water. See, this would be easier to grasp if you TELL ME you want an unconventional drink. COMMUNICATION, PEOPLE!!! ---------------------- Lady walks in during what came to be a rush, orders a Green and White Iced Tea. With people behind her I proceed to prep her tea (half cup hot water, steep, ice over) as she Watches me poor hot water half way, put a lid on it, NOTICE the condensation in the cup, I turn and ask, is that all? Yeah, but..... is that iced? *facepalm* No.... not yet.... ----------------------- Multiple people in line for what is the ending portion of a rush, man in a wheelchair is next in line, which is right near my register. With my view blocked by who was the lady from the first bit I suddenly hear whats immediately recognized as beans spilling everywhere. Everyone stupid and looks to which the man says, Hmm, I didnt know it came out like that (saying this about the protruding handle, the ONLY thing protruding that looks like a handle) ----------------------- A man coming in to refill his coffee tries to explain in the softest and most calm voice physically possible that Im, out of light medium. Not being able to understand a damn word hes saying I ask to repeat, more than once. This provokes said man to begin to speak up, but not without providing me with some visual aid by doing a small variation of a robot dance. This helps me to understand the problem and I go to brew some more Cafe Cordoba. If it wasnt for the mini dance I would have been lost, even though he went and got decaf anyways... -_- ********************* And Im not even at my second hour. There was one more about a privileged hair dressing student. But Im sure there WILL be more.
