Rescue operation in Uri TKN March 11: Due to incessant rain and heavy snowfall since 10th March 2014 morning, the Karwan-e-Aman Bus carrying 16 passengers got stuck near Red Bridge after a heavy land slide blocked Srinagar Muzaffar Abad road the previous evening. Police party of subdivision Uri along with the assistance of army provided food, woolens and blankets to the stranded passengers which could not cross over the Red Bridge. Last evening the rescue operation launched early in the morning by the police with the assistance of beacon and the army. After hectic efforts the Uri- Kaman Post road was cleared braving all odds and the bus carrying passengers was safely made to cross the shooting stone zone this morning.
