Rescued by the Army... but robbed by civilians: Suffering of Kashmirs flood survivors as airlines, security staff and thieves prey on disaster victims. Avinash from #Siliguri shows the boarding passes granted to him for prices much higher than the Rs 2,800 cap set by the DGCA - Director General of Civil Aviation that direct a cap on airfares out of Srinagar and Jammu. The DGCA asked all the airlines to cap total fares - including taxes - on Srinagar-Delhi and Leh-Delhi routes at Rs 2,800 and Rs 3,000 respectively. >> Passengers said airline and security staffers were taking advantage of helpless people. >> Airline staff say to passengers - Do you want to live by paying Rs 4,000 or die here? >> Shabaz Khan, a 24-year-old working as a taxi driver in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar found out that his gold ring and Rs 3,000 were missing when he reached Delhi >> On reaching Delhi, Mohiuddin noticed that his bag was unzipped. When he checked his bag, a pouch carrying cash and valuables was missing. Its due to a couple of such Indians that our country and its people have to suffer.
