Respond Today Dearest family and friends, are you willing to allow God to fill your heart with His peace today? “ … And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6)” As we respond to God’s word, He responds to us. As He draws us to Himself, our hearts are drawn to respond back to Him. It’s a beautiful circle of God’s hand in our lives as we choose to bring Him into focus, we walk through our day with great success. What a beautiful circle. As we choose to guard what lives in our hearts, the Lord will respond and guard our hearts and minds with His peace! How cool is that!! “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23 We need to tend to our hearts and be the gatekeepers of it… careful what attitudes we nurse, what thoughts we allow to make paths in our mind, what images and words we allow media and entertainment to deposit there. The essence of our life springs from our heart. When our hearts are at peace, peace springs from within us. When we allow our hearts to be flooded with anxiety, anger, or edginess that is what will spring forth. Our entire life is affected by the wellspring of our hearts. Then God tells us exactly how HE will guard our hearts and mind and help us tend to the wellspring of our hearts. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:4-6 SHALOM to ALL the NATIONS today!
