Responding to a Riverside Unified School District committees decision last week not to allow The Fault in Our Stars at middle schools, the novels author responded: “I am happy because apparently young people in Riverside, California will never witness or experience mortality since they won’t be reading my book, which is great for them.” At least two school board members want the ban reconsidered. What do you think? Are the books themes appropriate for middle-schoolers?
