Restless and looking for insight from those who have FAR more - TopicsExpress

Restless and looking for insight from those who have FAR more experience than I do. I have my son Simon doing Language Arts/Writing and Math through a private tutor. He only has (I think) Science and History (as a 5th grader) at school. He is also an alpine ski racer. How easy or difficult would it be for him to be homeschooled for those other 2 classes? I am thinking my husband could do Science and I could do History...I have older very bright but busy teenagers and 1 of my other ski racers is willing to help out but I dont want to bite off more than I can chew as my husband and I work from home and are very busy when the kids are in school. Simon is easily distracted so I would need to put some clear boundaries and consequences in place so that we can all stay on task. Raul Hevia I know this is music to your ears, but please be objective as while I have taken step 1, a private tutor is not something I can financially scale up, but hoping to scale down as he gets up to speed and functioning with a bit more self-confidence. Thanks to this group, I am restless and perturbed...and also realistic as I realize I can get quite passionate but I have to be honest with myself too. Thanks so much for your input!
