Rev. Kevin Rogers via PAOC Chaplaincy Network Report on Muslim-Christian dialogue event in Toronto Dear interfaith colleagues in the GTA: One of the refreshing developments in the interfaith movement is the emergence of bi-lateral dialogues such as Jewish-Muslim, Hindu-Buddhist, Muslim-Hindu, Hindu-Sikh, Sikh-Catholic and Jewish-Christian. This bi-lateral approach provides a sharper focus for interfaith dialogue and improves the relationship between the two specific faith communities. With Muslims and Christians forming more than 50% of the world’s population, the emerging international Muslim-Christian dialogue is vital. Late last year, 15 Muslims and 15 Christians in the GTA spent four evenings together in small-group dialogue and discussion. These dialogues took place at Scarboro Missions and the Noor Cultural Centre, an Islamic education centre. Below is a link to an article that describes the 4-week program and the experience of the participants. Please feel free to forward this information to colleagues. https://scarboromissions.ca/News/ifnews_may14.php#conversation
