Revelation time, for those who may not yet have figured things - TopicsExpress

Revelation time, for those who may not yet have figured things out. While sitting in traffic trying to get to school Monday and Wednesday morning, for 2 hours, AND missing my 1st class both days, and 2 1/2 hours trying to get home from school Monday night, I realized something. I was no longer enjoying retired life. I had not worked on my novel in a month. I have barely started my non fiction book. I have yet to start on learning to play classical guitar. Those are my passions. I had convinced myself that I wanted a college degree. Over the last 3 days, I have examined my goals. I determined that the college education was a bucket list Kat wanted for me. It was not mine. After much soul searching and discussions with a couple people, I officially withdrew from UNT. Next week I will restart the pursuit of my passions for writing my two books and honing my guitar playing. The workload was not an issue, I was doing well in all my classes. The drive was not a real issue as I would have reached the same conclusion eventually even if school was across the street. I had talked myself into wanting a degree. Sometimes while on a long journey one can make a wrong turn or two. Recognizing the error and correcting course defines how far one has come. So, I am a happy college drop out.
