Review #203: The X-Files (1998) Fight The Future. Mulder and Scully get their big-screen debut after five seasons to get the fans riled up. While not proving a very cinematic outing, with the plot like that of the early mythology episodes, The X-Files is still an entertaining sci-fi thriller. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson continue the roles that made them famous to good effect, while fans will squeal at seeing the enigmatic Smoking Man and the Black Alien Oil expanded on to... bursting effect. However, with Scully kidnapped for most of the movie, it feels like watching The Mulder Show on a bigger screen. VERDICT: 3/5
