Review by Carmen Lee: Say Hello to Happiness is refreshingly positive, even though it is set against a background of the modern lifestyle of being constantly bombarded by communication and technology in which relationships are accelerated and conflict can be easily exacerbated. Say Hello to Happiness does not attribute blame to these circumstances and certain people in our lives but chooses instead to empower the individual with the responsibility of one’s own happiness, promoting independence, strength and self-respect. Michael and Rob achieve this through providing advice on how to invoke positive feelings and re-evaluating aspects of one’s personality to encouraging their readers to assume emotional responsibility, achieving a level of happiness which will not be robbed by those around us and the world in which we live. The ability to choose the people we interact with and the environment in which we live is often limited. However we often struggle against this concept and seek a happiness which is dependent upon other’s actions. Michael and Rob’s 31 affirmations seek to dispel those fears of assuming responsibility over one’s emotions. Moreover “Adamedes’ Triad of Primal Self-Limiting Beliefs” confidently exposes the ways in which individuals consciously and sub-consciously prevent themselves from finding happiness. Say Hello to Happiness has been a delight to read and surprisingly relevant to the changes in my life at the moment. Although I was doubtful at first, given the simplistic illustrations, they soon grew on me as a strong complement to the positive messages which they support. I thank Michael and Rob for strengthening my drive to regain control over my life and would definitely recommend this book to people who are open to pursuing long-lasting and, most importantly, independent self-perpetuating happiness.
