Revision of history in continued progress in China. In 1960 Liu went to the provincial villages to investigate the famine. He came back to Beijing and made a speech that the Great Leap Forward had caused major mistakes. He said that the famine was 30% natural disaster, but 70% human error of the government policy. Although Mao Zedong did not immediately show disagreement, he must have taken it as person attack. This trend is very good in digging up the mistakes and merits of various persons who had contributed. Liu Shaoqi is appearing better and better with each documentary. In another video a number of 700,000 famine deaths from one province alone is woven into these Liu narratives. In another development, former Premier Zhu Rongji has a memoir out and suddenly many of his famous speeches are being played and many commentators are lauding him for his anti-corruption iron fist. Many are happy that he is seemingly helping Xi-Li administration fight extravagance and corruption. In fact Zhu Rongji is famous for his broom when he became the head of Shanghai where he harshly punished corrupt officials.
