Revival is the Vaccine to Apathy This is quite a special sermon, recorded one week ago tonight, the night after the election was held. I missed it live and tonight I finally saw it here. Before I tag some specific people whom I know will have an interest in watching this, I want to say first, please understand that you are getting a glimpse into our church family. So I am making this a public posting because I firmly believe that this political campaign has ignited a revival in America. The revival is shaping right now. I pray this will be shared responsibly with people of all faiths. This was a very emotional event for all of us, but its so valuable that I want to share it. For most of this year a force of volunteers organized, mobilized and worked tirelessly. Rob McCoy was not popular with the establishment CA GOP. So they put up a competitor in the primary. Rob won that race by 6-7%. For the General Election the numbers grew to over 600 people. Not all volunteers came from our church. In fact we had Jews, Catholics, Democrats, LDS, African Americans, Latinos, the old and the young. In my personal view, it appeared we had more women working than men. It was truly a diverse cross-section of our communities and purely volunteer. To Christians I have a special note: Its time for you to act. NO, your tax exempt status is NOT at risk, period. But so what if it did? You are salt and light. Faith without works is dead. True grace cannot be cheap. Its time to start imagining political campaigns run with Jesus as the core and Romans 8:28 constantly shadowing your personal desires under the light of His. None of this demands we all agree in lockstep. But its time to change the world. No more excuses. And dont fool yourself if you think this is the first time in history. Nope, we will be on a list on which many came before us. We have a very special church family with a pastor loved so much, that we packed the house for him here. He was blown away on a Wednesday night after what appeared, at that time, to be a defeat. While votes are still being counted and the chances they will turn in favor of a different outcome, we believe victories were already baked in the cake, by the Holy Spirit. We may not know them all now, or ever, but well, thats faith now isnt it? Romans 8:28! Please pay close attention to this video. I believe you are watching a significant historical event.
