ISIS means Islamic state in Iraq and Syria , ISIL means the Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant. The Levant is the land bridge between Egypt and Israel up to southern Syria and western Iraq. The only time you can really say Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant is if (ISIS) or the Islamic state i.e. (IS) is pushing south toward Israel, if not you cant call them ISIL. By the way, The Islamic state (IS) is pushing north by northeast with a clear vision for Iraq, they even said they want to make Iraq Islamic caliphate and why would they push south where the enemy is much, much more powerful (Israel) when you are gaining ground in Iraq. I believe it may be some kind of code from Obama directing them south. And I hate conspiracies but it is very, very strange for Oblunder to call them ISIL when they are no where near the Levant.
