Richard Dolan, the UFO historian, does not believe that Bernard Mendez went to Mars, because when he first met Mendez and Mendez regaled Dolan with his lifetime of ET contact experiences as an American emissary to the Greys, Mendez did not mention his Mars jump room experiences. I, however, know that Bernard Mendez went to Mars because Mendez was in my Mars jump room training class under Major Ed Dames at College of the Siskiyous in Summer 1980; because I would encounter Mendez at the jump room facility in El Segundo, CA; because I jumped to Mars with Mendez several times (including one time at night); because I was sometimes teamed with Mendez, in teams of three jumpers that he sometimes led; and because on one jump to Mars, he was instrumental in saving my life on Mars, and then, in the same incident, I was instrumental in saving his life, by carrying Mendez on my right shoulder for approximately a mile to bring him to a jump room and return him to Earth. True history is like that. It is best defined by those who have actually lived it, and only secondarily by the prejudices, conceits, and suppositions of he who would aspire to be its historian.” – Andrew D. Basiago
