Richard North states: As we see the march of globalisation progress, the Green 10 (all of them funded by the EU, except Greenpeace - the WWF between 2007-2012 having grabbed a massive €53,813,343 for its services to itself and the EU empire), are supporting their paymaster, promoting EU environmental leadership in the global political arena, helping it act at a global level. The Green 10 is just one of many coalitions of NGOs that are dictating how you must lead your life. Their tangled web is almost impossible to extract from our governance and their influence is substantial. Read the article to discover more. Both the WWF and SCC lobby for wind farms which bring the Queen 15% profits from off-shore wind c.£38 million pa. No wonder Prince Charles is now president of the WWF. A nice little earner for our royal Green rent-seekers. I also think Carbon Brief needs a mention. They state We are grateful for the funding and support provided by the European Climate Foundation. Tom Brookes, Director of the Energy Strategy Centre - the communications unit funded by the European Climate Foundation (ECF) - is also a company director of Carbon Brief. I know Carbon Brief also has links to Friends of the Earth, as does 38 Degrees. And then there is the Green Alliance and E3G founded by Tom Burke who also used to be head of Friends of the Earth. These NGOs are not benign organisations. Apparently, they cost India 2-3% of GDP growth annually which equates to a great many doctors, nurses, teachers and well as huge amounts of medicine, food, fresh water, energy, etc. If similar GDP impact occurs in UK then it roughly equates to a third of NHS budget (pulsetoday.co.uk/political/political-news/proportion-of-gdp-spent-on-nhs-falls/20006371.article#.U6sxm7GnR5Y).
