Richs post about the 65 blackout got me thinking, many people stated they knew exactly where they were and what they were doing. The all time classic for remembering such details is probably the Kennedy assassination. I was too young to remember early to mid sixties, so my biggie for remembering where I was and what I was doing, was 9/11, then oddly enough the verdict in the OJ trial, and also Midnight Y2K. So what are the big ones for others? JFK, RFK, MLK etc. JFK killing must have been scary, if you were old enough to be aware of it! My mother was a crossing guard at Dearborn and New Britain Ave. shes 89 and still remembers, said the kids told her on the way home from school.
