Riddle me this.....if a highly rated cable action series has an all Black cast, would it be regarded as a black series? On the converse, Homeland, a highly regarded cable action series doesnt have ONE black person among the cast. It does have Iranian and other characters of Islamic origin. Caveat.....it did have a black person portraying a Marine during a hallucination sequence by BRODY. Coupled with the opening sequence with a clip from #44 POTUS. My point is that it is an enjoyable series and I watch it weekly, but it isnt stigmatized as a white show, just a quality program. Name me a show or series with an all black cast, that isnt categorized as black? Perhaps, the Cosby show?
