Right before I turned 18 I ran off with a guy who decided to take me away from my broken home, out of state. I didnt even tell anyone I was leaving. I put some clothes in a bag and walked out of my fathers house right in front of him, bag over my shoulder. He didnt even see the bag. I dont remember if he said anything to me. So I walked out. I went for like 9 months without even calling anyone, except a few friends who I knew would keep my secret. I was tempted to call my mom but the guy I was with was super paranoid and told me I couldnt. Of course me and him didnt work out and I finally called my mother from a payphone and told her everything. I asked her if she could come get me and she had to explain to me that she only had one way to get me, and that was with my father. It was not her fault and I loathed the idea but I couldnt stay, so I said ok.
