Right under The ALS Associations fb post photo of ALS sufferer Pete Frakes getting doused with ice water in the challenge he himself created (for a few friends!), is yesterdays post, with this comment: Don’t believe everything you read online. The ALS Association has received numerous calls and emails over the last couple days regarding a false article circulating the internet as fact. The article appears on a satirical website called “Political Ears” and was recently debunked by Snopes here: snopes/politics/business/als.asp. The Association appreciates the generosity of everyone who has made a donation through the Ice Bucket Challenge.
