Rilie Ray Morgan III is the grandson of Rilie R. Morgan from Grafton, a co-founder of the Republican Reorganization Committee (ROC) of 1944 or thereabouts, the small group of leaders (including Milton R. Young, who then went on to the US Senate) who reinvented the GOP and turned it around after losing footing to the populist Non-Partisan League for years... Morgan was one of the most influential Republican leaders of the last century, and if I recall served as chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee for many years. I would hope the current GOP supermajority in the ND Legislature DOES NOT SEE THIS AS A LIBERAL, DEMOCRATIC ISSUE, because it is not! Its a people issue.
