Rings and Sprinting. I bought my first set of rings and took - TopicsExpress

Rings and Sprinting. I bought my first set of rings and took them to meet with Ivan Miskiv. He taught me the correct grip for rings and the progressions working up to a ring muscle up. Focusing on the importance of the strength in each position and the awareness of the joint angles in each moment. Amazing how the same principals were told to me by Hiro, but it was regarding weightlifting. Positions and Transitions are common themes that are transferable among all movements . (In the video, you will see the positions Ivan taught me to hold, and by being stronger in each position, I can train to effectively transition into the next.) Its a shame that we were never taught to run and sprint properly as children. As we grow older, we develop these terrible habits that take time to unlearn. However, it is never too late. In here, I am figuring out how the start position is suppose to feel. Once I can comfortably setup my start position, I need to stay lower in acceleration and minimize the transition into the first step. Rings is an art of optimal positions and controlled transitions, Sprinting is an art of speed and power. Once I become more competent in both, I will become a better equipped athlete. Body Reborn.
