There is hydraulic fracking happening north of Brea in the Tonner Canyon area as well as acidizing in the same area and in Fullerton and the Whittier/Puente Hills according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District 1148.2- Well stimulation mapping project. What are OUR dangers and RISKS to Air, Water, Earth, Life? What is the Sierra Club doing? Geologist Tom Williams will impart some of his extensive knowledge in this area. Dr. Williams has a PhD in Geology from the University of California, Berkeley and has many years of experience working in the oil and gas construction industry. He is currently co-chair of the Angeles Chapter Fracking Oil and Gas Committee. Join us for conversation and dinner or snack at 6:45 followed by program around 7:30.
