Rob Irvin Gaffney, SC - - Robert Earl Irvin, II, (lovingly known as “Da”), 58, of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2013 at his residence. Born in Bucyrus, OH, he was the husband of Vicki Phillips Irvin and was the son of the late Robert Earl Irvin and Katherine Webber Irvin. Mr. Irvin was a graduate of Limestone College, was the owner/operator of Rob’s Jewelry, was a Master Jeweler, and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of Sparta Krew (a philanthropist organization that helped rebuild New Orleans), loved his family, motorcycles and cars, was an avid golfer, and was a member of Kirby Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Autumn Irvin Cole and husband, Kyle, of Gaffney; a brother, Michael Irvin of Gaffney; two sisters, Robin Irvin Garner and Katherine Irvin, both of Seattle, WA; his mother-in-law, Jenny Phillips of Gaffney; a grandson, Ryan Andrew Cole. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Irvin. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Peachtree Centre, “Activities Fund” 1434 N. Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340 or Park Hills Baptist Church, 1100 Leadmine Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
