Rob today won the John Andrews Memorial Road Race held at Long Sutton in Somerset, the race consisted of 12 laps of a exposed 5.5 miles circuit on rolling roads, with 7 laps to go Rob forced himself off the front of the peloton in the headwind section and was soon joined by 2 others. Once in a good rhythm working well together the gap opened up to a time of 1 min 40 to the bunch. leading into the last kilometre Rob was sat 2nd wheel and he was the first to make his move with 200m to go kicked away to cross the line in first place by a bike length. His first Road Race win of the season so far!!!
