Robert Pattinson takes a back seat to co-star Dane DeHaan as the pair film scenes for new movie Life on a classic Triumph motorbike.... He is one of the most sought-after leading men in Hollywood. But for his latest role, Robert Pattinson is playing second fiddle to one of the biggest movie stars of the 1950s - well the actor portraying him anyway. The 27-year-old was seen sitting on the back of a motorcycle being steered by co-star Dane DeHaan, 28, in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday on the set of the film Life. In the movie, Robert plays famed photographer Dennis Stock, who forms an unlikely bond with his subject after he is assigned to shoot images of heartthrob James Dean - played by DeHaan - while on assignment for Life Magazine in 1955. The two actors seemed to be bonding during the filming of the anticipated flick, with the Twilight star cuddled up behind his co-star on the classic silver Triumph. A dapper suited Rob looked a little awkward as he tried to balance himself while clutching onto a leather satchel in character as the out-of-his-element photojournalist. The Brit looked suave in his dark blue suit, white shirt, blue and white striped tie, white socks and brown dress shoes. He also showed off his sleek 1950s-era inspired comb over do while filming the scene. Dane did his best impression of the ill-fated star, whose final year is documented in the film, as he donned a black leather biker jacket over a white unbuttoned shirt, grey trousers and black boots. The Chronicle star accessorised the look with a pair of brown retro-styled sunglasses and tan leather biking gloves. He also had his brown mane styled in a messy pompadour, just like The Rebel Without A Cause stars signature hairstyle. The first official still from the film was recently released, featuring both Robert and Dane. In the shot, Rob is seen sitting in the front seat of a classic black car as he and Danes character prepare to make a road trip from Los Angeles to New York. The journey came ahead of Stock taking an image of Dean in the rain in Times Square that became iconic upon the actors death. In the frame, Dane looks extraordinarily similar to the late Mr Dean as he gazes out of the back seat window, all brooding and ruggedly handsome. The Anton Corbijn directed film also stars Ben Kingsley, Kristen Hager and Alessandra Mastronardi and is set for release in 2015.
