Robin Williams passing is saddening indeed. My first thought is that maybe now this horrible disease will finally get the attention it deserves and a change in public perception will be made. However I know that is just a pipe dream and very shortly the public outcry for support of this terrible disease will wane and we will go back to the status quo and the stigma associated with having this disease. As someone who suffers badly from depression I hope that one day people will have a better understanding of what we go through and feel and will stop being part of the problem, or ignoring it completely.
